Sitting in my rocker view!

1 Corinthians 3:7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.

How lovely our Lord is!  How gracious! He give us food!  And He did not stop there, He gives us beauty!  He could have made an ugly world for us, but He chose to make it beautiful instead! I am thankful.

Take time to notice His creation.  Beauty can be as close as your backyard!  Look at my backyard and see what He has done!

Vegetable  Garden.

My Veggy Garden

I have begun growing a lot of my own veggies.  Mostly because I try to eat certain things only if they are organic. I have found that to be quite expensive!  But, if I grow it myself, it if very very cheap!

I use to have an in-ground garden. But I am a bit lazy about weeding!  And the dirt here is so hard and clay like. So I bought some raised beds and have used them for a couple of years now.

In the past I have planted a large variety of things in my garden.  Watermelon, cantaloupe, beans, potatoes, and on and on.  I have found a couple of thing out. I have not perfected the melons! I get one a year!  LOL!   Beans and squashes I end up giving away. So now I basically plant a salad and herbs.

This year I planted tomatoes, onions, lettuce, spinach, cucumber, green peppers, basil, rosemary, thyme, cilantro, and parsley.  Yummy!  Can’t wait.  Many times last summer I just walked out to the garden and picked my salad!  All natural, no pesticides or crazy fertilizers!

Don’t look at the weeds in the grass.  That is Dat’s job, not Dis’!
