Let me introduce to you one of my most wonderful friends, Faye Smith.
She is one of the healthiest person’s I know. She researches healthy eating all the time! And, unlike me, she puts into practice what she learns. She is thin and healthy and eats like a horse! I cannot believe how much food she can put away. My hero! LOL!
Seriously, she is such a wonderful Christian, example and friend! She is the Youth Director at our church, she studies God’s Word, attends my Ladies’ Becoming Servants Bible Study, and is just wonderful to me!
I asked if I could share one of her recipes on my site and she agreed. See how sweet she is! She has a million recipes. All healthy I think. She post mostly vegetarian recipes. She post all of these on her Facebook page under notes. I am not sure how I can link you to her, since you have to be friends with her. But maybe at the least I can send her any comments you send me and then she can decide what to do with them.
I love these burgers. They are not hamburger! But to me they are better. The secret to eating healthy foods to me is to not compare it to the thing you are use to. Let it stand on its own and you will enjoy it much more.
Faye’s BEST Veggie Burgers

1 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup pumpkin seeds
4 cloves of garlic peeled and cut up a bit into smaller chunks
2 tablespoons Southwest Chipotle Seasoning
6 cups cooked and drained black beans
1 large onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic sliced
~ 8 heaping cups cooked quinoa
Put the first 5 ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth (~5 minutes or so, stopping halfway through to scrape down the sides). Put your mixture into a LARGE bowl and add the chopped onion, sliced garlic, and cooked quinoa. Mix up well (I find if works best if you mix with your hands). Then shape them into burgers and grill or fry or bake. VERY good! I think they are best if you bake them (better for you and actually comes our better) Preheat oven to 400 degrees, lightly oil pan and then bake for about 45 minutes.
